Our Projects

The youth leadership Council

This summer marks the second summer that the Dorothy McGowan Garden will work hand in hand with the YLC of New York City to provide a growing inspired leadership course that is meant to educate, elevate, and foster accountability through leadership in its local youth.

  • Learn valuable skills in a local garden.

  • Organize events that make communities healthier, more beautiful, and more fun.

  • Earn a minimum of 20 service hours, serving in a garden at least twice a month.

  • Open to anyone aged 12-21 in all five boroughs.

  • Accepting Spring/Summer 2019 applications now!

Community Yoga

The garden will offer community yoga. Ages 13 and up. (With Parental Release Form) Cost: Suggested Donation.

 

Family movie night

Every friday night we plan on offering a family friendly movie night where everyone can gather together, share snacks, conversation, and enjoy entertainment.
